Pastors' Gathering: Pastoring When Conversions & Conversations Are "Banned"
This past May, Calgary City Council passed a conversion therapy ban bylaw. Many other municipalities have done much the same, and now the Liberal Party of Canada has reintroduced a bill to make this the law of the land. I invite you to join us next Tuesday, October 20, as we think together through the responsibilities and challenges of pastoring in view of these new laws.
Marty Moore will be presenting the upcoming federal bill C-6 on conversion therapy from a legal perspective. You can find his bio here: https://www.jccf.ca/
Jeff Jones will present the same issue from a pastoral-theological perspective, followed by a time of discussion. We will round out our time together praying for one another and for our churches.
If you know of any pastors or pastors in training, please encourage them to attend. These meetings are a great way to forge camaraderie with other brothers in the trenches, for a lifetime of fruitful ministry.
We will meet at Calvary Grace Church at 1 pm.
I hope to see many of you there. For those of you who cannot make it, we will have the option to join us virtually on Zoom. Click here to join the call.
